The present project deals with the study and characterization of polysilsesquioxane gels based on 1,4,5,8-naphthalimide and 1,2,4,5-pyromellitic dimides. Structural characterizations will be made during the gelation process to better understand the arrangements within the 3D structure. The characterizations will be done by instrumental techniques such as light-polarized spectroscopies, spectral-electrochemical, UV-VIS-NIR and Cryo-TEM, and others that may be necessary. The understanding of the packaging processes of the organic molecules within the gel will be useful for the design of new systems and for the application of these gels as models for studies of excitonic couplings.
