Abstract

In 2006 was approved the Law nº 11.274 that changed the duration of primary education from eight to nine years, in Brazil, and established the required enrollment since 6 years old. This change reverberated to all the ones involved with education, from the kids to the professionals. Since then it is in this context which the kids study and the teachers/educationists work. This research aimed to identify and analyze the conception exposed in the official documents of the "Enlargement Program of the Primary Education to Nine Years" (Portuguese: Programa Ampliação do Ensino Fundamental para Nove Anos) about the children newcomer in that stage of school. This paper will be as much bibliographic as documentary, and having a basis of analysis with the following: playing, space/environment, curriculum, methodology, time, relationship teacher/student and learning/development. Besides that, it will be considered the real aims and the proclaimed aims presented in the official documents of the aforementioned Program. (AU)
