Abstract

Artistic practices have been engendered in devices located at the interface between health and culture. They result from social changes in our ways of producing health and extrapolate their traditional areas of intervention and constitute transversal devices placed in between social and cultural practices. These devices were created in order to implement a set of public policies that has been intensified in Brazil. They begin with legal innovations, programs and actions that favors social and cultural participation, culminating in the artistic production of populations in vulnerable situations. But implementing such initiatives is challenging since it requires the production of public spaces that may be occupied by heterogeneous communities. This project aims to study and analyze contemporaneous experiences facilitated by the Laboratory of Studies and Research in Arts, Body and Occupational Therapy (PACTO), which develops actions in partnership with several projects in São Paulo during the last two decades. By collecting audiovisual registers of the pathways chosen by the enrolled agents, we intend to observe how these experiences are related with the production of health and culture. We also intend to identify potencies and limits for the instauration of heterogeneous communities and possibilities of spaces occupied by people with significant cultural differences, pointing out references for communal places in the city. From this analysis, our goal is to systematize common and singular strategies regarding how different agents engaged in these actions sustain these practices. As a result, we aim to produce a social memory able to indicate and fortify intersectorial practices and policies in the interface between arts, health and culture.
