Abstract

The increase in water intake has been studied as a method to decrease urine specific gravity in order to prevent urolithiasis, interstitial cystitis and feline urethral obstruction. This study aims to compare the volume of water intake on the type of source and waterfall, as well as the preference of the feline and its impact on urinary density. Will be used 30 healthy animals from ONGs. Through this study we aim to understand what type of source and waterfall may increase water intake, and also the impact on urinary density and possible prevention of urinary diseases. (AU)
