Abstract

The objective of this project is to carry out a research internship in Mozambique, which is a fundamental part of the theoretical study and execution of field research work that has been developed in the form of a master's degree, linked to the Postgraduate Program in Human Geography of the University of São Paulo (USP). The research is entitled Mobilization of labor and capital export: Vale S / A in Mozambique, guided by Professor Carlos de Almeida Toledo and financed by FAPESP. The internship should be held at the Center for Political Analysis (CAP), at Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) in Maputo, supervised by Professor Inês Macamo Raimundo, PhD in Forced Migration. The field work will be carried out in Moatize, in the province of Tete, our area of study, whose analyzes are based on the mining of coal by Vale S / A and how this activity transforms socialization practices among peasants of Moatize, Especially those who were resettled after granting land use by the Mozambican state to the company. Among other aspects of the research, we consider the particularities of the relationship to give continuity to the study of the work mobilization process (Gaudemar, 1977) in Moatize. We understand the mobilization of work (Gaudemar, 1977) as part of the process of territorialization of capital, so it is necessary to reflect on the relations that involve work and money in the modernization process. During this period, we will also follow debates and studies around the theme that surrounds the theme, as well as updating our bibliography on the specificities of relations in that country.
