Abstract

The proposal of the present project of Scientific Initiation is to carry out the inventory of the Geological Heritage in the proposed area for the Bodoquena-Pantanal Geopark. A region of great scientific potential and a set of geotouristic activities; reason for request the inclusion in the global network of geoparks. Aspects of geological interests lie in the geology of the neoproterozoic units, with the occurrence of metazoan fossils (Corumbá Group) and ferrous metals of the Jacadigo Group, as well as in the Cenozoic ones, related to the Pantanal Plain and around the Bodoquena Range's karst. As an inventory system, will be used the method proposed by Brilha (2016) and used by the Brazilian Geological Survey (CPRM). (AU)
