Abstract

The incidence of the virus HIV is still high in vulnerable groups, such as drugs addicted, sex professionals, youngsters between the ages 17 and 20 years old and men who have sex with men (MSM). A measure taken worldwide and that could be useful to these groups is the Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) that lasts 28 days, being the adherence an essential factor to the treatment efficacy. Objective: Identify the health services users that seek the sexual PEP about their vulnerability to HIV; identify the adherence factors and non-adherence to PEP of the users; compare the adherence factors and non-adherence to PEP with factors identified in other studies. Methods: it is a transverse exploratory descriptive study, that will be made in the city of Santo André - in the Reference Ambulatory of Infectious Diseases and in a unit of Specialized Service in STD/AIDS - SAE, in the city of São Paulo. The population will be constituted by male and female health service users, older than 18 years old that look for service due to their sexual exposure without protection and who are indicated to chemoprophylaxis, according to the Ministry of Health. The following instruments will be used: the criterion questionary Brazil (Brazillian Association of research companies, 2015) and a selfapplied questionary considering that the second part to be elaborated based on the "Cuestionario para la Evaluación de la Adhesión al Tratamiento Antiretroviral" - CEAT-VIH, Brazillian adaptation with adaptations to sexual PEP. The questionary will be elaborated according to a scale of level like the Likert. (AU)
