Abstract

This project proposes to develop a discussion about the experiences of workers of diverse categories in the field of the struggle for the guarantee of the social rights approved in the Federal Constitution of 1988, such as education, health, work, housing, leisure, security, social security, etc. from the process of constitution of the Encontros de Entidades Comunitárias (ENECOM's) and of the Federação de Entidades Comunitárias (FENECOM), on Camocim-CE, Barroquinha-CE and Granja-CE. It has as sources of research the documents produced in the meetings of political formation of 1994-2002 and the oral interviews with the workers participating in the series of meetings that occurred in that period. In dialogue with the English historiography, mainly with the works of Edward Palmer Thompson and Raymond Williams, it tries to problematize how the experiences in the ENECOM's and the FENECOM were changing the ways to organize, to express themselves, to work, to fight of the participants, constituting In a form of resistance to the neoliberal practices defended by the federal government of Fernando Henrique Cardoso and Tasso Jereissati, on Ceará, in the years 1994-2002.
