Abstract

During the last few years, researches in solar cells are considering a new technology to convert solar energy into electricity. Perovskite Solar Cells (PSCs) have been attracting much attention since it has improved its power conversion efficiency from 4% to more than 20% in just 6 years. The organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites are the most common on this application since they show interesting properties such as high charge mobility of electrons and holes. The knowledge of these characteristics allowed the development of different architectures for these devices. Despite their high efficiency values achieved, PSCs still show stability problems and hysteresis. In order to increase their stability and efficiency and decrease/eliminate their hysteresis different techniques of film deposition on the device have been explored along with fundamental investigations such as the influence of film characteristics on the solar cells behavior. The quality of perovskite films, charge transport layers and its interfaces are fundamental factors for developing high quality devices. Studies with different materials on charge transport layers as well as the introduction of addictive and the optimization of their thickness are important to improve its charge transport properties and to understand factors that have influence on PSCs performance and stability. In this project, the development of PSCs will be initiated in our group aiming to reach similar performance to those reported on the literature and high reproducibility. The following step is to evaluate the effect of modification on charge transport layers of PSCs on their performance and hysteresis. (AU)
