Abstract

Metacognition can be described as the comprehension each person has about their own cognitive processing. Creativity relates to the capacity to generate new products adapted to a given context. Finally, self-esteem characterizes itself as an evaluative character of the self-concept integrating feelings and thoughts of a person. The objective of the present study is to investigate metacognitve monitoring of university students about their own performance in task involving figural creativity and its relation to the self-esteem. 30 university students of both genders will participate the study. For the data taking, the following instruments will be used: Thinking Creatively Thinking with Torrance Figures, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale and Figural Creativity Monitoring Technique, presented collectively in that order.
