Abstract

The present research has as general objetive comprehend the national port work in relation to the recente performance of capital in ports, that is, comprehend the ways and conditions of work and the capital control strategies, especially from the port modernization process. It is worth mentioning that the port modernization was instituted as a strategy of port expasion in ports, having in Brazil its landmark with the laws 8.630/93 and 12.815/13, which established new criteria for exploration, production, organization and management of ports and work. Is this sense, the proposal is to comprehend the strategies of performance and control of capital in relation to ports and port workers and the State role in this process. In addition, by studying the conditions of work in ports, especially in relation to the Ports of Santos/SP and Pecém/CE, and the implications of this process for worker's health. Even as, the strategies of resistence or not of the representative entities of these subjects. (AU)
