Abstract

The research aims at raising primary documentary sources - such specialized periodicals in cinema, newspapers that covered cinema, testimonials, correspondences, reports, photos, etc. - as well as having access to Argentine films produced in the interregnum of time that goes from 1930 to 1955, that is, in the period classic of the cinema in which the studio predominated as mode of production - the Studio System. The documentation and films to be accessed are related to the relations in the cinematographic field established between Argentina and Brazil in the aforementioned temporal cut. These relations have varied in number, such as the circulation of professionals and films, cultural exchanges and trade, among others. To do so, it is necessary to have access to libraries, archives and film archives located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. From the collected material will be possible to deepen the analyzes and interpretations regarding the relations between Argentina and Brazil in the classic period, contributing to the knowledge of an object still little studied by the film history.
