Abstract

The objective of this project is to present, analyze and discuss the category nature [Natur] in the early writings of Marx. This category does not appear synthesized at any point in the philosopher's work. There is no text in the marxian theoretical complex that is devoted exclusively to a structured presentation of this category. Nevertheless, there are elements in Marx's works that make it possible to analyze the specificities of the category of nature and the way in which it is structured from the relation it establishes with other categories inherent to Marx's philosophy, such as objective activity [gegenständliche Tätigkeit], labour process [der Arbeitprozeß], history and the mode of production. To understand how these elements and relations fit together and give shape to a category that can be denominated "nature", it is necessary to consider that no marxian category appears autonomously systematized. Therefore, in this project, it is considered that the category nature [Natur] inherent to Marx's writings can only be understood based on a study that appreciates the dialectical relation that it establishes with other categories and with the philosophies of the nature of Hegel and Feuerbach. This research has a theoretical proposal and will be based on reading, analysis and interpretation activities of Marx 's main works referring to the thematic field circumscribed in this project. This task will be supported by relevant critical bibliography. (AU)
