Abstract

One can notice the versatility of the Second Law of Thermodynamics by the constant outbreak of its principles new applications. Among them, one of the most inquisitive is its use on living organism analysis, in all levels of organization. One of the highlights in the field is the application of exergetic analysis to the human body, given that pathologies can greatly modify the organism exergetic behavior, enabling the use of this type of analysis in medical diagnosis. With this in mind, this undergraduate research intends to create a thermodynamical and phenomenological model of the heart, through the solution of continuity and Navier-Stokes equations, aiming to achieve a greater capacity of foreseeing cardiac behavior, enabling the future execution of more complete and detailed exergetic analysis of this organ.
