Abstract

The research project treats two problemas : 1. Isoperimetric functions of metabelian groups, em particular exemples of metabelian groups that embed in finitely presented metabelian groups with isoperimetric polynomial functions. 2. Isoperimetric functions of the Sidki construction X(G) and structural results for X(G), in particular when X(G) is residually free, torsion- free and of finite cohomological dimension. (AU)
