Abstract

The purpose of this study is the surface modification of Ti7.5Mo experimental alloy by using TiO2 nanotubes growth associated to incorporation of calcium and phosphate. The Ti7.5Mo alloy will be obtained in arc melting furnace with argon inert atmosphere and processing by heat treatment. The anodic oxidation will be carried out to obtain TiO2 nanotubes growth in electrolyte in order to promote calcium phosphate incorporation surface treatment (in situ). The surface properties will be evaluated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-rays diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), contact angle and Raman spectroscopy. In vitro studies will be performed to evaluate the response of MSCs to the TiO2 nanotubes with or without calcium phosphate (CaP) incorporation. (AU)
