Abstract

The general objective of the research project is to analyze the experiences related to the sociocommunicational (in)visibilities of LGBTIQ+ immigrants and refugees residents in the city of São Paulo. As problematic, we discuss the consequences of the production-circulation-consumption of these (in)visibilities in their insertion in urban spaces (physical and symbolic) and in the exercise of citizenship. The theoretical contributions are of an interdisciplinary nature, and are divided into three main axes: a) Communication, consumption and citizenship; b) Globalization and migration flows; c) Gender and sexuality studies and LGBTIQ + migration. The methodology of the research, of qualitative character, assumes a multimetodológica slope that includes: a) bibliographical research; b) data collection, having as procedures the participant observation; the application of semi-structured interview and data collection in digital environment; and c) analysis of the empirical data, based on a descriptive and interpretive perspective that draws from the empirical data the dimensions related to the sociocommunicational (in)visibilities in the experiences of LGBTIQ+ immigrants and refugees in the city of São Paulo. Thus, the research project is justified by its academic and social relevance, given that the subject is still under-researched and that, by collaborating in a debate about subjects that are repeatedly silenced and invisilized, it can contribute to the promotion of public policies to improve their living conditions.
