Abstract

In this project, we propose to investigate the computation of the Brasselet number in the global configuration, in the case of polynomial functions defined on toric varieties. In addition, we intend to use information from the toric varieties to study such invariants for classes of varieties which are related to toric geometry, such as non-degenerate complete intersections and determinantal varieties.
