Abstract

We propose to analyze the flows of productive inputs, finished products, capital and information from the large pharmaceutical companies that control the health industrial complex in Brazil and France, considering the exchanges between the companies that maintain relations of the same property (same brand or incorporated brand) in order to verify if the territorial division of labor in the same commodity production associates different socio-spatial formations that configure a productive process which occurs on a global scale. From this analysis we will identify which are the major cities and major metropolitan regions that act as nodes of the network formed by such flows. The Sanofi Company was selected to analyze certain characteristics of pharmaceutical raw exports and imports flows. (AU)
