Abstract

This project aims to study the properties of alkali-activated composites reinforced with carbon nanotubes. Besides mechanical properties and microstructural characterization of obtained composites, two different functional properties will be assessed: strain sensing and chloride extraction, in the last case the composite will work as anode. In the literature it was not found any paper related to the use of alkali-activated binder in the production and characterization of multifunctional composites. Hence, from the obtained results, it is expected that new trend about this multifunctional composites based on alkali-activated binders can be yielded contributing to the scientific progress.
