Abstract

The purpose of this Scientific Initiation consists in an investigation about the literary representations, present in the textbooks of the collections Novas Palavras and Português: Linguagens, used in the first grade of High School in public schools of Assis/Sp. The main objective of this research is analyzing the collections Novas Palavras and Português: Linguagens in High School, with the intention of showing, comprehending and analyzing how the literary content is exposed in those books as well as the pedagogical tendency they represent. The specific objectives are: a. To catalog the authors and texts of the collection; b. To organize and describe the literary representations; c. To situate the tendencies (pedagogical and literary) which sustains the literary content; d. To promote the analysis of these literary representations. It is expected, as a result of this investigation, the contribution in the debates about Literature teaching and critical analysis of textbooks. (AU)
