Abstract

After the big popularization of the Internet, it's very common to see children getting inserted on the virtual world prematurely, through games, videos, and other medias. Since Internet utilization appears to be an irreversible process, this project intends to evaluate, based on the psychoanalytic literature and new studies of several correlated areas, such as computing and technology, the effects of this precocious exposition on the construction of the subjectivity in the children that are born after this diffusion, referred in this project as digital natives or residents. The focus of the study is to understand if there are impacts on the construction of this subjectivity, the possible effects on the construction of interpersonal relationships and the ways of being alone in this beginning of century.
