Abstract

The study of the Magellanic Clouds and its link with the Milky Way is the aim of this project. We intend to study several questions such as: (i) the impact of tidal forces generated by the interaction between the Magellanic Clouds and the Milky Way, in the dissolution of stellar clusters, (ii) determination of history of star formation and chemical enrichment in the periphery of these galaxies, and (iii) mapping the 3D distribution of clusters in these galaxies. We intend to create a base of photometric data (complemented with spectroscopicdata) in order to better develop these topics.
