Abstract

The evaluation process of the child's symptoms is complex and often does not take into consideration the family group. A child seeking psychological care turns out to represent a symptom, as if she or her family group is not well. An evaluation that considers intrapsychic, intrafamilial and sociocultural dynamics is extremely relevant, including the understanding of the parents psychodynamics with the child's. This work has the purpose to understand the psychodynamic system of children and their parents in cases of family relationship difficulties. Therefore, clinical case studies will be presented within a qualitative research perspective. It will be investigated four children and their parents with family relationship difficulties, who pursued psychological care on Service of Screening and Child and Family Care (STAIF) of the Center for Research and Applied Psychology (CPA) of the FFCLRP-USP will participate in the study. After the signature of the term, they will pass through five stages: anamnesis interview with parents, play session, diagnostic family interview and return sessions (with parents and children separately). Thus, it is possible to relate and point out the symptoms transmitted by the child, who seeks psychological care, with the characteristics of his family. It will be sought to reflect on the possibilities of more effective intervention actions with the child population, taking into account the child's family care participation. (AU)
