Abstract

We describe a master's degree proposal linked to the Sirius project to be run with the co-guidance of Dr. Liu Lin, leader of the group that designed Sirius. In order to obtain the required precision of 40 micrometers to determine the center of the quadrupole and sextupoles of the ring, we propose an application of the Beam Based Alignment method that uses the electron beam itself to make measurements of the alignment of the magnets. This type of measurement will be studied, simulated and applied during the commissioning of the ring that will occur in 2019. (AU)
