Abstract

Diastereo- and enantioselective reactions are of great academic, economic and social importance. The organometallic chemistry provides extremely useful catalysts to make such reactions possible. These catalysts are usually metal complexes formed primarily by small organic molecules which act as ligands for the metal centers. This project aims to develop an efficient synthesis route to obtaining structurally diversified enantioenriched sulfoxides with C2 symmetry. This type of ligand is underexplored in the literature and may allow the construction of catalytically active metal complexes. (AU)
