Abstract

INTRODUCTION: It is questioned whether the Low Power Laser Therapy (LBP) would be able to improve muscle and nerve regeneration after the late-neurorrhaphy (NLT). OBJECTIVE: To analyze the efficiency of LBP therapy in muscle maintenance and nerve regeneration after NLT. METHOD: Work approved by CERTIFICATE Nº 1154/2015 CEUA FMB - UNESP. Eighty male Wistar rats with a mean mass of 200 g will be used. The animals will be divided into four experimental groups. Control Group, Desnervado Group, NLT Group, NLT + LBP Group. Functional tests will be performed. Statistical Analysis: When comparing the groups, the ANOVA test will be used, followed by the TUKEY test, when a significant difference was detected. In all analyzes, significance level will be used p <0.05. (AU)
