Abstract

This research aims to reflect and understand about the experience of ending the relationship and the resonances of this separation in the lives of young people in the current context. This work is justified by the fact that there is not a large number of studies about romantic relationships break up in the context of dating, an experience that especially affects young people and can impact the way they look at such an event. For the accomplishment of this research it will be used the semi-directed interview as instrument of data collection. There will be six individual interviews with college students aged from 18 to 25 who have already had the experience of loving breakup in a romantic relationship. The analysis of the data will be oriented in articulating this material collected with the available scientific material. Thus, an attempt is made to draw up a dialogue between the material collected, the psychoanalytic studies about the topics covered and the historical panorama of dating and the ways of relating in contemporaneity. It is hoped that this research will contribute to further studies on love bonds especially regarding the elements that cross the love separation in the context of dating, seeking to understand how young people deal with such experience.
