Abstract

Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) is a oleraceous with great emphasis on the world market. However, the difficult in cultivating especially regarding the large amount of inputs required for high productivity, particularly pesticides and fertilizers, it´s a fact that need improvements aimed at the greater sustainability of the productive system. One of the causes that contribute to this process is the high susceptibility of tomato genotypes to pests and diseases, hindering the cultivation of this species in organic systems. Salicylate's use can contribute to this sustainability, improving the resistance of plants to biotic and abiotic factors With this purpose, the present work intends to test the salicylates salicylic acid, acetylsalicylic acid, as well as the commercial products Bion® and Aspirina®, and their effects on the germination and initial vegetative development of tomato plants. Also, the there will be evaluate the effects of salicylates on the induction of resistance of plantlets of tomato to the phytopathogen Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici. This project could support future works with the application of these products in sustainable horticulture.
