Abstract

Brazilian biodiversity has great potential as a source of bioactive products to be used by different areas of industry. It is within this scope that the need to evaluate the different potentials of native plant species of Brazil arises, still without any or few pharmacological and industrial potential studies, especially those related to the bioreactive isolation of natural active principles. Therefore, the objective of this work is to evaluate the anti-glycation potential of phenolic acids present in S. purpurea seeds and flavonoids present in P. cincinnata seeds, by the analysis of Amadori products; determination of free amine groups; bovine serum albumin tests (BSA / Glucose and MGO / Glucose) and relative mobility in electrophoresis (MRE). It also aims to evaluate the antioxidant activity through DPPH tests, FRAP test, NO sequestering activity and TBARS test. It is expected that the chlorogenic phenolic acid obtained in the seeds of Spondia purpurea L. and the flavonoids vitexin and orientina of the seeds of Passiflora cincinnata M. present anti-glycant and antioxidant activity.
