Abstract

The ozonation process has been used in the last decades in the treatment of water and effluents due to its high disinfection power and the removal of micro-contaminants. However, treatment costs are directly proportional to the ozone doses applied and the configuration of the ozonation system. Thus the verification of the combination of ozone with H2O2 would increase the amount of oxidant and be more resistant to the inhibiting power of the constituents of the sewer. (AU)
