Abstract

Due to the big energy demand of the humanity and the necessity to obtain cleaner and renewable sources makes necessary the search for alternative ways to obtain energy. The solar energy is one of these ways, because the solar light is present all over the globe, it has a very low cost for its capture, providing in a day more than the humanity needs in a year. However, the current cells and efficient photovoltaic devices are made of silicon, whose process of beneficiation (mainly crystallization) is still expensive, which hinders the widespread use of this technology. In this sense the perovskites are attractive, because they have band-gap and conduction of charges appropriate for the application, they are produced with easy synthesis and their precursors are very cheap, in their majority. Among them, lead perovskites are the most efficient, having similar efficiency to silicon, but with the disadvantage of susceptibility to moisture and be made with a toxic element. In this regard, this project aims at the preparation of solar cells based on perovskites containing less toxic elements such as bismuth, indium and antimony, which have already shown to be promising because they have a band gap similar to lead perovskites.
