Abstract

Currently, human and veterinary researches seek the perfect mapping of the actual renal function of these patients by means of guidelines and new biomarkers with the intention of the institution of the early treatment, its monitoring and the prognosis of those that, when dependent only on serum creatinine and the debt urinary tract infections, are prone to late-stage treatments and reserved prognoses with imminent death risk. Thus, this study aims to evaluate and correlate the serum concentrations of the biomarkers symmetrical dimethylarginine (SDMA), serum and urinary Insosine, urinary cystatin B, urinary clusterine and C-reactive protein in dogs previously diagnosed with Canine Monocytic Ehrlichiosis.
