Abstract

The quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) has been proposed in studies and diagnosys of some neurodegeneratives diseases (like the Parkinsons Disease) because it is sensitive to the content of metals in the brain (related to those diseases, according to studies). The EPR (Electron paramagnetic Resonance), together with the QSM in postmortem studies, enables a more detailed study about metals in brain, their ionic states and the metalloproteins associated.
