Abstract

This research aims at supporting a major research, contributing to the data collection of the characteristics of some historical buildings that house collections at University of São Paulo. As specific objectives, there are: a) identifying and classifying several historical buildings according to its construction characteristics b) Choose one case study for a specific analysis, considering its importance due to building characteristics and its occupancy c) Study the real fire safety conditions of occupancy and use of the case study. In order to carry out the research, a theoretical approach will be taken firstly. Then, the case study will be inspectional, based on graphical and written documents, a check-list will be prepared and visual records will be taken, for the final report.
