Abstract

This summary project for an internship abroad aims to complement the ongoing research on digital fabrication applied to architecture and design. By understanding and analyzing the global context of applying advanced technologies, their impacts, and innovative capacity, it will be possible to understand how the local context is influenced by the appropriations of their strategies and technologies, and what kind of specificities emerge from our region's works. On the basis of monitoring activities in ActLab (PoliMi), procedures of technical assimilation with project experiments, in addition to case studies and interviews in several digital fabrication laboratories in Europe, we intend to obtain a privileged knowledge and substrate of qualitative information for comparative studies between the different contexts.
