Abstract

The following aspects justify the project proposed here: a) studies on the taphonomy of detail Ediacaran fossils in Corumbá Group, are scarce; b) Even in the face of the information available, many issues as, paleoenvironmental and paleoecological, have not been fully clarified; c) the determination of taphonomic features of these fossils will help elucidate the establishment of conditions on the habitat, ways of life and trophic structure. Therefore, considering that certain aspects related to the study of fossils from the Ediacaran, Corumbá Group, become essential to establish the biological events that occurred in the Neoproterozoic, this work should help more detailed understanding of the biological and geological patterns and processes, subsequent to this Eon, the Phanerozoic.
