Abstract

This research aims to develop a study about the conditions of work of the female workers at the call center sections of two telecom companies located in São Paulo city. The main goal of our study is to analyze the relation between the sexual division of labor and the conditions of labor and exploitation focusing on the precarization and flexibilization forms which the female worker are submitted to. In order to achieve that, technics of empirical research, as well as semi-structured interviews, will be used as tools to collect data about the relations of work in the telecom sector, as well as a bibliographical review of the topics related to precarization and flexibilization of labor and, most of all, the ones associated to the sexual division of labor. Basing on that, our quest is based on the following questions: in which measure the new labor configurations, structured according to the new information and communication technologies, recreate the relations of exploitation of the female workers? The labor relation in the call center sections would be an expression of a new form of exploitation of the female workers?
