Abstract

This research project is part of the ongoing research entitled "Experiments of subtractive and additive fabrication technology applied to prototyping in product design", FAPESP process 2018/01213-1 and its main objective is to analyze and investigate processes and prototypes in additive rapid prototyping machines from the Innovative Design Laboratory (IDL), applied in healthcare product design. This application for the Bolsa Estágio de Pesquisa no Exterior (BEPE) aims to deepen the theoretical knowledge on machines and processes of rapid prototyping, current applications of technology within the field of product design and its technical specifications. Specifically, this research seeks to find design solutions through methodologies or techniques applicable to the design of products by using digital manufacturing technologies. (AU)
