Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the progression of the periapical lesion in different periods in the face of stimulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis by chronic stress. The animal model of periapicopathy and chronic stress will be used. Stress will begin 21 days before injury induction, and the lesion progression will be evaluated in different periods: after 14, 21 and 28 days of the induction of the injury. The level of blood corticosteroid for confirmation of stress will be evaluated. The evaluation of periapical lesion progression will be performed using histological and histomorphometric analysis of periapical bone destruction. The data will be evaluated by descriptive and inferential statistical tests, according to data obtained, according to their normality, with parametric or on-parametric tests.
