Abstract

The present project aims to develop a particle that presents remineralizing and antimicrobial characteristics through the synthesis of a nanoparticle of amorphous calcium phosphate loaded with chlorhexidine. Two methods of synthesizing chlorhexidine-loaded nanoparticles will be tested, the methods will be Synthesis per se and incorporation. At the end of the synthesis processes we will have four different particles that will be tested in Elisa plate (96 wells) in different concentrations and in which the microorganism Streptococcus mutans will be added. The minimum inhibition concentration will be considered the lowest concentration of antimicrobial agent added to the composites in which there is no visible growth.
