Abstract

New spatial practices come deepening social inequalities and other urban problems in Brazilian cities. Socio-spatial differentiation, stimulated by external dynamics, related to the neoliberal logic individualism, worsening and accelerating the process comes to a rupture in the cities, the relationships between the different groups are going to handicapping, contributing for a city increasingly heterogeneous and fragmented. The city of Maringá (PR) guard specifics in your process of socio-spatial formation, where the socio-spatial segregation entrenched in your urban expansion left socio-spatial marks. The estate agents act in line with the limits of the performance of Government shapes the logic of your development. The aim of this study is to identify the dynamics present in the urban space of an average city as Maringá (PR), the process of socio-spatial fragmentation and its impact on the daily life of the city. For so much they will be adopted methodological procedures that they allow, on one side, to characterize the history of the city in their structuring processes and restructuring and, for other, analyzing the personal nets of city dwellers of different profiles socio-spatial, looking for to understand the fragmentary dynamics, specific of this case.
