Abstract

The present project aims to relate the morphology obtained during the process of obtaining nanocomposites of Polylactic acid (PLA) and graphene with their rheological and electrical properties, to contribute to the development of materials with shielding properties to electromagnetic interference. This project aims to act as one of the aspects of the international project H2020-MSCA-RISE 2016 "Multifunctional graphene-based nanocomposites with robust electromagnetic and thermal properties for 3d-printing application" (GRAPHENE 3D, http: //graphene3d.imbm. bas.bg/), of which the Center for Advanced Research in Graphene, Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies - MackGraphe, Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (UPM), is a member. This international project aims to develop multifunctional graphene nanocomposites with mechanical, thermal and electrical properties, with electromagnetic shielding for possible application in 3D printing. The present project intends to carry out a systematic and comprehensive study in which the effects of the rheological properties of the liquid media used in the liquid exfoliation process of graphene as well as their influence on the dispersion, and morphology obtained in the nanocomposites of PLA and graphene, are correlated with the electrical properties, and consequently with the property of electromagnetic shielding.
