Abstract

Breast cancer is one of the major diseases that affect the body composition and quality of life of women. One of the main treatments for this injury is hormone therapy, being an effective treatment against the disease. However, it has adverse effects, such as decreased cardiorespiratory capacity and increased body fat and weight. Object. To analyze the effects of aerobic training on aerobic capacity, body composition and quality of life of women who use hormone therapy for breast cancer and compare the results with women without cancer. Method. Participating in the study are women in hormone therapy for breast cancer and women without cancer. All participants will perform aerobic training on treadmills for 12 weeks. The evaluations will be performed before the intervention and after 12 weeks, and the submaximal Naughton tests and the six-minute walk test (6MWT) will be performed to evaluate the aerobic capacity, the body composition will be evaluated by X-ray absorptiometry of (DEXA), and the questionnaires SF36, EORTC-QLQ-30 and 23 will be applied to evaluate the quality of life. The normality of the data will be verified through the Shapiro-Wilk test. The parametric variables will be analyzed using the Student's t-test and for the non-parametric variables the Wilcoxon test. SPPS software will be used. 25, considering a level of significance of 5%.
