Abstract

This research project BPE - FAPESP emerged from the current Regular Project (FAPESP 2016 / 20164-6), "Image-based Methodology in Social Psychology", which will be finalized in February 2019. During this research, we started a relationship with the School of Psychology, at Massey University, particularly with Professor Darrin Hodgetts, who participated in the activities of our "II Seminar of Social Aesthetics: Image and Community" in September 2017. I received the invitation for the "Visiting Scholar Program" at Massey University, to take part as a researcher at the Ending Poverty and Inequality research cluster - EPIC, between August and December 2019. The convergence of the interests in visual methods and the publications previewed indicate the academic and social contributions of this collaboration, which is innovative for research in social psychology. At the institutional level, this research will result in a specific agreement between the Institute of Psychology of the University of São Paulo and the School of Psycholoy of Massey University, an application to SPRINT FAPESP and the exchange of postgraduate students. In terms of research, we are planning to publish 2 scientific papers, the beginning of shared field activities and the co-orientation of a doctoral student, with the international consolidation of the Group of Social Aesthetics (USP / CNPq). As part of my career, this will be my first long-term research internship abroad since my doctorate, which will have a positive impact on the development of my research and the strengthening of our research network.
