Abstract

Nowdays, the abiotic stress is one of the most important limitation to agricultural production and food security. To avoid the environmental stress, through the prism of an integrated and ecologic management of cultivation, is the use of grafting plants, as an acclimation strategy. In the cultivation of pepper, crop of great economic importance in Spain, the lower adhesion is due to the abscence of rootstocks suitable to abiotic stress conditions (higher temperature, dry and salinity of water and soil) of Mediterranean. The aim of this study is to analyze the responses of pepper to high temperature conditions: physiological studies of grafted pepper plants and their parallel with ungrafted plants submitted to some abiotic stresses (supra thermal, salinity and water stress).
