Abstract

The proposal is based in the investigation of the optical properties of complex perovskite based on lead niobate and magnesium modified with lead titanate (PMN-PT) transparent ceramics. Particularly, the basis of this investigation is the photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL) and the studied samples will be doped with La and rare earth ions (RE=Nd, Tm, Yb, Er and Ho). [19:47, 13/12/2018] Márcio: This host has a technological appeal due to it optical transparency and the ferroelectrical effects, that can be explored for stimulated emissions. The foreseen stages cover the room temperature optical characterization, including the absorption and emission, in function of the dopant and the characterization as a function of temperature, in order to investigate the phase transitions of the host. Additionally, characterizations as functions of the intensity of the light excitation, applied external electric field and Raman spectroscopy can be considered. A correlation between optical and electrical properties by others members of research groups is expected.
