Abstract

The Additional Act of 1834 emerged as a milestone of Education in the State of São Paulo, later arose the first law of primary education, Law n°. 34, from 16 of March 1846, therefore it was initiated the concern with the systematic organization of public and private education, which was once almost non-existent in our country, so engendering the beginning of the spatialization process of education. Henceforth, this process took several forms in distinct phases, fomented by laws and decrees that shaped and oriented such spatialization. This project aims to study the spatialisation of education in the State of São Paulo, through the organization of teaching directories. In this way, contribute to the understanding of the geographical, political and ideological foundations of the current division of education in São Paulo, the current Teaching Directories. More precisely it is intended to analyze the spatialization of the inspection governmental of education devices from 1850 investigating, in its stages the process of regionalization and territorialization of the Paulist teaching.
