Abstract

In industries, lipases have a specific niche and exert a shelf life potentiators function, flavorings, thickeners, cleaning agents, among others. It is also of great importance in the production and formulation of animal feed, besides being used for pharmaceutical, medical and diagnostic purposes. Specific enzymes, such as lipase, require high purity as a result of their applications in the industry. Typically, for a yield of 30% and a purification factor of about 320 times, four to five purification steps are required. This implies that the overall purification process can have a negative economic impact on the final cost of the product. The process of bioseparation and recovery of lipase can account for up to 80% of total production costs. With this, many traditional methods are no longer used because of their high cost and undesirable effects on the environment. In this sense, a non-traditional purification protocol, alternative those already cited in this document, has been developed, which is less costly in relation to chromatographic methods and is in patent application that was evaluated and granted by the UNESP Agency for Inhibition (AUIN) protocol number 18CI068, which is currently in the drafting phase of the draft patent by the law firm of UNESP. This protocol is being improved in the project presented here.
