Abstract

This project intends to analyze the Judaite identity constructions that emerge in the post-exilic biblical narratives in Ezra and Nehemiah, who claim to belong to the years 538 BCE to 400 BCE, still under the Achaemenid Empire. The purpose of this study is to understand the different forms of conflict surrounding exogenous marriages in the Yehud community during the period in question and which may reveal an intensification of the relations of power between different groups that aimed at a way of ascending to social, religious and political control
